Spring is in full swing and so is the cleaning that goes with it. This is the perfect time of year to crack the windows, get rid of clutter in the garage, and deep clean the house, but caring for your home can take a great deal elbow grease, which is often nearly impossible for our aging loved ones.
The Shelby Foundation, Shelby Community and Senior Center, and Shelby Home and Public Health are teaming up to help seniors with spring cleaning. Attendees will learn how to modify their home to make it safer; how to properly dispose of prescription drugs, and receive smart downsizing tips.
The seminar will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 15, at the Shelby Community & Senior Center, 154 N. Gamble Street, Shelby. Light refreshments will be served.
