On Monday, June 5th, Shelby native Troy Baker, financial advisor at Edward Jones, will share his expertise with us on preparing for retirement. “Securing your future one penny at a time” will feature solid advice for planning for retirement for everyone from their twenties to those approaching their golden years.

Mr. Baker also will discuss basic investment verbiage that often has people scratching their heads. He’ll breakdown what is a dividend, stock, money market, IRA, so you can confidentially understand your portfolio.

Mr. Baker has managed retirement accounts at Edward Jones in the Shelby area for 17 years. He’s helped many people understand financial basics and believes a penny saved is a penny earned. Whether you’re planning for retirement, setting aside a college fund, or just trying to protect the financial future of the ones you care for the most, he can develop a specific strategy to help you achieve your goals.

Program will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Vault Wine Bar, downtown Shelby. The registration fee is $15, which will include dinner. Come on and grab a girlfriend or two and be part of something inspiring in our community!
