The Shelby Foundation is proud to announce it has awarded $98,500 in scholarships to graduating seniors through 27 donor-established funds during the 2025 scholarship cycle. This financial support helps students take their next steps in higher education with confidence and community behind them.

In total, more than $300,000 in scholarship support was provided this year to students in the greater Shelby area, including scholarships awarded through other funding partners. These awards reflect the generosity of local donors and the enduring impact of investing in young people’s futures.

“Our community continues to show up for the next generation,” said Carrie Kemerer, executive director of The Shelby Foundation. “Each of these scholarships represents someone who believed in giving students a better chance at success — and that’s something worth celebrating.”

In addition to continuing support for Shelby High School seniors, The Shelby Foundation expanded its scholarship reach this year. Three new funds were established to benefit students from Crestline High School, Clear Fork High School, and Lexington High School, broadening the Foundation’s footprint and strengthening its regional commitment to educational opportunity.

The Shelby Foundation is proud to serve as the administrator for these scholarships. While the Foundation houses the funds and processes all applications, staff and board members do not sit on the selection committees, ensuring a fair and impartial process for each applicant.
