Women Helping Women
In 2009, The Shelby Foundation established the Women’s Fund with the purpose to empower women so they can achieve their full potential. Since it’s inception, over $40,000 has been awarded in grants to infuse programming that support women and children.

100+ Women for Shelby
“100+ Women for Shelby” was launched in 2018 to expand the reach of women helping women. Through this group’s efforts, thousands of dollars have been awarded in grants because: One Woman Can Make a Difference, But Together We Can Rock the World.

DESIGNING A SENSE OF PLACE THAT RESIDENTS AND VISITORS WILL FLOCK TO.
Stimulating Economic Development.
There is connection between vibrant downtowns and strong economic communities, so The Shelby Foundation has worked closely with the City of Shelby and the Community Improvement Corporation to devise a plan to boost three focal areas of Shelby’s Main Street. After having a clear vision for what the downtown can be, the Foundation awarded its largest gift ever at $250,000 for park improvements.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and through 28 different scholarship funds housed at the Foundation, on average $93,000 in scholarships is awarded to district graduates.
