Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas on October 12, 1492 and this year, we celebrate his arrival on October 9th.  Shelby students who have the day off from school need to look no further for fun, safe entertainment than the Marvin Memorial Library. School age children, kindergarten through eighth grade, can enjoy a book to movie event at the library sponsored by The Shelby Foundation.

Children are invited to listen to librarian Jami Williams read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No good, Very Bad Day, which will be followed by the movie. Pizza and drinks also will be provided.

Book to movie will be at the library on Monday, October 9, beginning at noon and will last approximately two hours. Since space is limited please register by calling Marvin Memorial Library at 419-347-5576 before Thursday, October 5th.
