Shelby kids will have something to celebrate on February 17th besides Presidents Day because school age children, kindergarten through eighth grade, can enjoy a fun day at the Shelby YMCA sponsored by The Shelby Foundation.
Director Carrie Kemerer said, “Winter can be a bleak time, the days are short and outdoor activities are limited by our cold Ohio weather. The Foundation Board was unanimous in its desire to boost children’s spirits. Partnering with the YMCA was a natural fit since they already provide great activities for kids.”
Kids Day at the YMCA will be Monday, February 17th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event boasts free admission, pizza, crafts, games, and, of course, swimming. Parents are asked to register children by calling the Shelby Y at 419-347-1312 before Thursday, February 13th.
