The family of Jeanne T. Gosser has established a scholarship in her memory at The Shelby Foundation to help graduating Shelby seniors.

Jeanne’s eldest son, Ryan, is spearheading the effort. “Mom was a personality. She never met a stranger. Mom has been gone for over a year and her impact has been felt far and wide and we really want her legacy to continue.”

Jeanne was employed at Shelby High School where her positivity and compassion touched coworkers, faculty, and numerous students over the years. A scholarship helping a student was the most natural choice.

Carrie Kemerer, director of the Foundation, said, “I was so fortunate to know and love Jeanne. She was my cousin and friend. I know firsthand how she cared for people. I was one of them. She loved her job at the schools so keeping her memory alive in this manner is a perfect fit.
